The distance iron with feel

The JPX EZ is a ‘point and shoot’ iron with launch monitor busting ball speeds – it’s also engineered to be the best feeling and most balanced within its class.

Point and shoot

With a Dual Pocket construction (running 360 degrees inside the cavity frame), and multi thickness face, the long and mid irons are as forgiving and easy to launch as anything we've tested.

Ball speeds off the charts (or at least on the edge)

A raft of new technologies – including a dual pocket cavity (that makes the face flex right to its edges), make the EZ by far the highest COR measured iron (at 0.85) that we’ve found.

Distance irons with real feel.

If we lied, you might think these irons were forged. A multi thickness face and reinforced cavity frame means they feel reassuringly solid at impact.

The 8 iron isn’t actually a 7 iron

Although we’ve maxed out on every available technology to increase ball speeds, we still wanted every iron to perform as expected. So although lofts are a touch stronger than our MP irons (because of the lower centre of gravity), we’ve avoided cheap tricks (like calling the 7 iron an 8 iron).

Controllable short irons.

Whilst the long irons are as forgiving as anything you could ever need, Mizuno’s touch is all over the more compact 8/9/PW with their thicker, uniform faces for more touch and control.

Black Ni finish.

An anti-glare plating that will wear and soften over time.

Ball speed wise and stability wise, this iron is a total game changer – especially if you want your 7 iron to fly like a 7 iron should. Because we’re Mizuno, those details matter. We want every iron we produce to be top of its class in feel and sound at impact. So although the JPX EZ isn’t for someone who wants to shape their shots, it has a really surprising sensation that makes you feel like as if you’re playing a much more versatile iron.” David Llewellyn – Head of Design
